“If I told you that a flower bloomed in a dark room, would you trust it?”
This line encapsulates the concept of a good kid in a bad city, and it cuts into one of the most moral questions in human existence: Can good come from evil? The best part about the line, as is true of the best poetry, is that it doesn’t answer the question it asks. For Kendrick’s immediate purposes, he’s the flower and the city is the dark room. The question is: Can you trust him?
haven’t graced this side of the internet much lately. focused on living more and observing a little less. it’s healthier. im happier. currently sore all over from gym. getting great feedback at work. my physio has given me the all clear for my knee. i plan to make my post-op umpiring debut this saturday. it will also mark 1 year since my final shift in the most toxic working environment i’ve been in to-date. and also the night of my rudest, most-hurtful customers. then sunday marks 1 year since tearing my ACL. my uni results are officially released tomorrow. eager to start semester 2 but enjoying what break i have left.
